Simple, and worth your trust.
Pusula does few things on purpose. In each of them it tells you plainly when the reading can be trusted.
It never hides its confidence.
The accuracy indicator never leaves the screen and never turns into a full-screen alert. Three states, three plain sentences.
High accuracy
You can trust the reading.
Calibration recommended
Draw a figure 8 in the air and it recovers.
No magnetometer found
Your phone has no compass sensor, and it says so.
True north, worked out on your phone.
Switch between true and magnetic north. The difference is computed on the device with the World Magnetic Model (WMM); your location is never sent anywhere.
Calibration stays out of your way.
When accuracy drops, a small sheet slides up. The compass stays visible; draw a figure 8 and carry on.

Readable in full sun.
Sunlight mode keeps the dial on its bright, high-contrast face. At night the dark face is easy on your eyes.

Your location stays on your phone.
Pusula uses your location only for true north, at coarse precision and on the device. It is never stored or shared.
The app shows one banner ad, served by Google AdMob. There are no ads in your first three sessions.
Yes. The app is free with one banner ad, and it shows no ads in your first three sessions. You can remove ads with a one-time purchase; there is no subscription.
Why does it ask for location?
Finding true north needs your rough location. It is used only on your device and is never stored or shared. On Android, if you decline, Pusula shows magnetic north. iOS requires location permission to turn on the compass sensor.
What does the accuracy indicator mean?
"High accuracy" means you can trust the reading. "Calibration recommended" asks you to move the phone through the air in a figure 8. "No magnetometer found" means your phone has no compass sensor.
Does it work offline?
Yes. The compass, true north and the spirit level are all computed on your phone. The internet is used only to load the ad.
Which phones does it run on?
Android phones and iPhone. The compass needs a magnetometer; if there is none, the app says so and the spirit level still works.
Which languages does it support?
Turkish and English. The app opens in your phone's language.
